Summer Solstice 2013

I would love to be at Stone Henge on the morning of the Summer Solstice.  Can't you just imagine the magickal feel that must envelope everyone as the sun dawns over the horizon?

Summer Solstice (or Litha) is the longest day of year, when Spring fades into Summer.  Some believe that the portal between the world of the Fae and our realm thins and opens at the twilight of this day.

Summer Solstice is considered a time of great magickal power.  Spells dealing with love, healing and prosperity are generally quite effective at this time.  Many rituals are performed at noon, when the sun is at it's height of power.

2 Thoughts:

  1. I had read this... and even printed it out so that I could use some of your ideas to celebrate the solstice... but alas with a wild 11 month old, all I churned out were lemon cupcakes with orange and yellow sprinkles! But hey!! they are summery colors. And lemon is one of the herb correspondences!! :)

    blessings to you friend
